The Duchess Cambridge Kate Middleton has finally started making more public appearances. She looked gorgeous and positively glowing during her recent surprise visit to a women's jail in Surrey, England.

She visited the prison with the Rehabilitation of Addicted Prisoners Trust, a charity that helps prisoners get rid of their addiction to alcohol and drugs, Daily Mail reported.

The ever-gorgeous 33-year old lady looked stunning in a light gray color, peplum-style outfit by London-based brand, The Fold. She coupled it with gray suede pumps. She wore her bangs to the sides.

Middleton saw how the treatment program worked. She reportedly had a talk with the inmates and learned how the graduates of the rehabilitation program recovered and how the charity aided in their "drug-free living".

"I was reminded today how addictions lie at the heart of so many social issues and how substance misuse can play such destructive role in vulnerable people's lives," Middleton told Toronto Sun. She added that that a failure to intervene early in life to get rid of mental health problems and allied challenges can have profound results for people throughout their lives.

This was the first time ever that she paid a visit to any prison. Middleton resumed her royal duties, when she visited the Anna Freud Centre in London, known for taking care of mentally challenged youngsters. Before that, she was seen in the passenger seat of a Range Rover, with her newest adorned chic hairdo on Sep. 13, In October, she will attend the state banquet, her very first, when she welcomes the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping.
