Directed by Yoshiyuki Asai, "Charlotte" is a 13-episode Japanese anime television series produced by P.A.Works and Aniplex.

The last episode of the Japanese anime "Charlotte" featured the red-light district of the Philippines, which is on Fields Avenue or The Walking Street. In "Charlotte" episode 13, Yuu begins his journey in the Philippines, particularly in Angeles City, Pampanga, and ends it in Beijing, China.

On Fields Avenue, which has many establishments owned by Americans, Australians, Chinese, English, Koreans, Scotts, and Thai according to Prime Asia Hotel, Yuu discovers an ability to seek out other users. He then starts looting abilities from every user he meets, which earned him the name the One-Eyed Grim Reaper.

Using ability users as soldiers, Yuu infiltrates a facility and gains the ability to detect those who haveyet to awaken their abilities, and using an illness power, he forces the said abilities to awaken so he can loot them.

Yuu continues his journey across many other countries. As he struggles to keep his newly acquired abilities under control, the burden of taking on so many abilities starts to take its toll on him until he begins to lose his memories and sense of self under extreme stress, which is the only thing that ties him to his humanity being the flashcards he received from Nao.

It is in Beijing, China, where Yuu ends his journey. A man attacks him in China making him critically injured. He takes the final user's ability and Shunsuke recovers him.

Eventually, Yuu wakes up at a hospital back in Japan having no memories of who Nao is. Reminding him that he is her lover, Nao thanks him for keeping the flashcards after all this time.

"Charlotte" episode 13 ended with Yuu, Nao, and the others with no other abilities present in the world. They hope for making memories going forward.
