‘Halo 5: Guardians’ TV Launch Teased With Trailer As 343 Industries Explains More About Game

"Halo 5: Guardians" features a couple of multiplayer maps, including the Warzone map, recently featured in a couple of gaming events.

Microsoft released a new world premiere TV commercial for "Halo 5: Guardians." This follows the recent announcement for the new season of Hunt the Truth, the audio series for "Halo 5: Guardians" to hype up the release of the game.

The new TV teaser was shown over at the NBC Sunday Night Football, and now it is available online as seen below, Xbox Wire reported. The 75-second live-action trailer shows hails the Master Chief as a hero, but also one who is a dead hero, in the trailer.

There are some footage of the Master Chief in action, and towards the end, the light of his headgear is seen dimming out as he is buried in the rubble. The commercial is aptly titled "A Hero Falls," and shows the citizens mourning for the fall of their hero.

While the TV premiere commercial sets a rather dramatic and heavy tone, the death of the Master Chief is not something that will play out in "Halo 5: Guardians." If anything, fans who have been following the reveal and update of the franchise know that the Master Chief will see something of a face-off with Agent Locke.

Developer 343 Industries revealed some tidbits of the story relating to how "Halo 4" transitions to the next installment. A threat is hanging over the galaxy as Master Chief goes missing for some reason, and the UNSC using Spartans to find out exactly why the entire Blue Team have gone missing in action, Venture Beat reported.

This ties in with the Hunt the Truth audio series, which aims to uncover the secrets of the Master Chief. "Halo 5: Guardians" goes a long way from "Halo 4" in that it steers the focus from Cortana and the Master Chief to introducing new Spartans into play.

"Finding the time to explore all those characters and give each of them a chance to establish themselves was an interesting creative challenge," said 343 Industries' Josh Holmes to the publication.

The developer wanted to approach "Halo 5: Guardians" in a new way, wherein new abilities aim to change the way the game is played. Even with the way players will deal with Hunters.

There's barely a month before "Halo 5: Guardians" is released. The Xbox One exclusive will launch on Oct. 27.
