George Clooney, Amal Clooney Order Massive Renovation On U.K. Mansion, Leave Neighbors Angry Due To Chaos

Actor George Clooney and his wife Amal Clooney arrive at the 72nd Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, California January 11, 2015.

George Clooney and Amal Clooney are seemingly on the wrong foot with their future neighbours as they have kick started a massive renovation work on their new mansion located in the village of Sonning near Reading, U.K., which is allegedly creating a huge chaos in the area.

"It is total chaos outside the house - a full-scale building site," Mirror quoted a local resident as saying.

The couple bought the U.K. mansion soon after their September 2014 wedding. The nine-bedroom mansion is built on a lavish property with a small stream flowing at the back.

The house was originally a Grade II manor house built in the 17th century. The renovation work has already started on the property and stack of building material can be seen dumped around the house.

Since the work kicked off, the otherwise sleepy neighbourhood is now abuzz with activities. A huge 60ft swimming pool will be built on the property which will also have a nearby pool house and a tennis court.
The couple is also planning to build a 12-seat cinema hall, a hot tub and a pergola.

Owing to the extensive plan, the work is being done during most hours of the day which has left the neighbors angry and frustrated. One such resident even claimed that the neighborhood has never seen so much chaos in the past 20 years and the Clooneys seem to have "total lack of respect and disregard" for other residents of the area.

Meanwhile, George and Amal were spotted at Sunset Tower Hotel's Tower Bar in West Hollywood on Sunday, Sept. 27 to ring in their first wedding anniversary, Us Weekly reported.  In contrast to their high profile glitzy wedding, the couple opted for a low-key affair this time, reportedly spending some quality time with each other.
