‘Dragon Ball Z’ Meets Soccer: FC Barcelona’s Leo Messi Becomes Super Saiyan God Plus He Doesn’t Need Surgery, Doctor Confirms

After UFC star Ronda Rousey went Super Saiyan in the cage to destroy her opponent, it was time for Leo Messi to go Super Saiyan on the field. The Barcelona player was given the "Dragon Ball Z" treatment by a fan. Currently, "Dragon Ball Super" is also showcasing Goku becoming the Super Saiyan God.

A fan took a Lionel Messi's strike against Athletic Club from last season and converted it into a Super Saiyan marvel. Check out the Vine, here.

Meanwhile, Messi is said to hit the pitch again before two months. Donato Villani, team doctor of Argentina confirmed to Ole via ESPN FC.

He mentioned that Messi's injury does not require surgery. "I have known Leo for years and I have no doubt that he is going to be ready to play again in the shortest time possible, maybe before the date that was estimated," Villani said.

"The injury was to the ligament on the inner part of the knee, a ligament that is extra-articular, that obviously suffers injury like any other ligament, but this one is outside the joint. He avoided a valgus force injury of the joint, it is not a tear that needs surgery," Villani added.

He mentioned that a ligament injury should take about "six to eight weeks to heal." The player can make a comeback after he is healed.

Messi will not be a part of Champions League group on Tuesday. On Oct. 8, Argentina meets Ecuador and later meets Paraguay in the World Cup qualifying matches.
