Gorgeous Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Concept Stuns With Rumored SD 820, 4GB RAM As The Banner Specs

Samsung made sure that the Galaxy S6 is a huge departure from the past model but its follow up, the Galaxy S7, is unlikely to do the same thing. A new render of the 2016 flagship remains true to what the S6 is - gorgeous and stunning.

In truth, the Galaxy S7 concept phone picked up by Android Headlines is more of a sequel for the Galaxy S6 Edge, hence the label Galaxy S7 Edge by its unnamed designer. Initially and following a closer look, the imagined S7 Edge is a doppelganger of the S6 Edge - easily attractive and suggesting that it is a delight to hold.

As can be expected, the fusion of metal and glass that Samsung has introduced this year with its flagship phones are in prominent use by the concept author. But the necessary adjustments are likely in place. For instance, the S7 is rumored to utilize a stronger material for its frame so magnesium alloy is the dominant casing material for the S7 Edge.

It is being floated around too that Corning Gorilla Glass is on its way out from the Samsung Galaxy supply chain and in its stead, the Korean tech giant intend to develop a glass coating that is tougher than the current standard. Korean media reports refers to this as Project Turtle, which should be ready in time for the Galaxy S7 early 2016 rollout.

As for the powers humming inside, the concept creator conveniently picked up on the prevailing speculations that Qualcomm is partnering anew with Samsung for the 2016 flagship push so the device model rocks with the super-powerful Snapdragon 820. Reports are saying that development of SD 820 is nearing completion but this chip already scored 75,000 points in an AnTuTu benchmark testing. The numbers are only expected to register further north the SD 820 reaches its final cut stage.

To support the octa-core 64-bit SD 820, the concept said, is up to 4GB of RAM though the likelihood of the provision increasing to 6GB is not discounted at all.

For the balance of the visualized specs, the S7 Edge concept is faithful to the Samsung flagship signature of a Super AMOLED display panel that likely stretches to 5.7-inch diagonally (as the regular Galaxy S7 screen is rumored at about 5.2-inch).

Lastly, the Galaxy S7 Edge camera system seems firm on keeping the shooting superiority conferred by experts to the Galaxy S6 and Note 5. The mix involves a 21-magapixel front cam sensor with optical image stabilization and dual-LED flash. The front-facing cam is selfie optimized with its 8-megapixel sensor.

The Galaxy S7 Edge is expected to unbox with the regular Galaxy S7, which rumors say is geared up by Samsung to touchdown in the early months of 2016. Introduction is said to coincide with the 2016 Las Vegas CES in late January while the actual release date is anytime in the following February.
