Parents send children to daycare centers to provide them with a safe and good environment. However, Chen Aimin, a businessman in Changsha, Hunan, regretted sending his grandson to a local daycare center.

Lin Lin, 7 years old, is studying in a primary school. Because of his family members' busy schedule, Lin Lin was sent to a daycare center after school. The daycare center teacher would take care of him and teach him to do the homework.

"My grandson Lin Lin was punished for being unwilling to do his homework. His daycare center teacher bashed him to concussion. However, the daycare center is unwilling to shoulder the responsibility. The center does not want to compensate for the injury," said Chen Aimin.

According to Chen Aimin, on Dec.25, 2013, the daycare center called him at around 7:00 p.m., telling him that Lin Lin could not stop crying. When he picked up Lin Lin and went back home, he found that Lin Lin's head swelled up. "I asked him about what happened. It was after 1 hour that he told me that the teacher bashed his head on the wall."

"I am unwilling to do the homework. So the teacher grabbed my collar and bashed my head on the wall five times," said Lin Lin. He was punished by Teacher Hou in the daycare center, who has bashed other children's heads on the wall before.

Lin Lin was diagnosed with a subarachnoid hemorrhage and concussion after the incident. He is now recovering at the Hunan Children's Hospital. "Lin Lin has been better. However, we are worried about late effects. He was very active before, but he is not willing to talk now," said Chen Aimin. The treatment cost the family over 7000 yuan. However, the daycare center only paid 3000 yuan and hasn't showed up after that.

When interviewed by a journalist, Teacher Hou only said that, "I am just an employee. I have already been dismissed. I know nothing else."

According to Chen Aimin, he chose this daycare center only because it was convenient and there had already been over ten kids studying there. He has not checked the qualifications of the daycare center.
