Range Rover Sentinel is ready for auction.

Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations Division (SVO) introduced the Range Rover Sentinel, which is the first fully armored model.

According to Autocar, the new Sentinel is one of a kind as it is hand built at the Land Rovers' Oxford Road facility enhancing the highest levels of protection that a Special Unit Vehicle can offer against a wide variety of attacks. Reports say that the new Range Rover's features left the public amazed at the Defense and Security Equipment International Show held on Sept. 15 at the Excel arena in London.

The Range Rover Sentinel implemented a Short-wheelbase Autobiography model which is currently in existence. The company has also made it possible to build this Range Rover Sentinel around a six piece passenger cell that's crafted out of super high-enabled steel.

It meets the strict VR 8 standards giving it the ability to withstand 7.62 millimeter high-velocity bullets designed to pierce armor, DM51 grenades explosions from beneath or above the floor and a 33-pound charge of TNT, Land Rover reported.

The Autobiography's glass has been replaced in favor of bullet-proof, multi-laminated and privacy glass to suit the Range Rover Sentinel. Other upgrades over the Autobiography include a 380mm front and 365mm rear ventilated disc brakes with a high density and an uprated suspension.

Range Rover Sentinel also comes with an anti-tamper exhaust self-sealing fuel tank and a spit charging system with other additional features. The car is able to run on 20-inch split-rim alloys with run-flat inserts that ensure the vehicle can be driven even if the tires are deflated. To leave the customers satisfied, a full driver training program is provided with purchases accompanied by scheduled visits by a technician each year.

With a guide price of around $606042 excluding taxes and a three-year 50,000 mile warranty, range rover Sentinel is primarily aimed at export markets. Due to this, a special order of the Range Rover Sentinel has been built at its Oxford Road facility and the model is expected to be available in Europe, South America, Africa, United Kingdom and Middle East.
