A Shandong man visiting a woman he met online in Zhangyang County, Hubei, went on a drunken rampage after finding out that she was already married.
He ran naked through the hotel reeking of alcohol and beating other hotel patrons. He was subsequently detained for 12 days by Zhangyang Police.
The Zhangyang Police said that on the night of Jan. 5, they received a phone call from the reception desk at a local hotel. The hotel receptionist reported that there was a man running naked through the hotel, breaking and turning things over. On the scene, the police discovered that a young man, drunk of alcohol was in the hallway of the hotel naked and disheveled.
The door to his room had been kicked in, and the curtains had been pulled down. The police quickly held the young man in custody to sober up and to be examined. After interviewing the man, Mr. Zhang, they found out that he was a 27 year old from Shandong.
This past August, Mr. Zhang had met a woman calling herself "Romantic lifeXX" online in a chat room. Good to hit off and before long they had agreed to meet each other In Zhangyang. Mr. Zhang went to meet the woman for dinner in Zhangyang, only to find out that she had a husband. Feeling dejected, he turned to alcohol. That night, the woman drove him back to his hotel then left.
When Ms. "Romantic Life" left, he fell even deeper into depression. He began to wail and cry in his room, took off all of his clothes, punched a hole on the door and ripped curtains off the wall. Afterwards, he ran naked through the hotel slamming his fists on hotel room doors and grabbed another patron by his neck. Hotel staff then notified the police.
According to the police report, Mr. Zhang felt great remorse for his actions and that he plans to compensate for any damage he may have caused.
