2016 Tesla Model X: Tesla's Electric Car Spreads Its Wings at Long Last

 After much teasing, Tesla, the Silicon Valley electric car manufacturer, has unveiled the third model of its series of Tesla cars. The third model, referred to as the 2016 Tesla Model X, is a sports-utility vehicle signified by its unique 'falcon-wing' rear doors.

The launch of model X, which went on in Fremont, Calif, near the factory, was marked by the viewing of the vehicle and the handing of the first six cars to their customers.

Apart from the six owners, Tesla said that approximately 25,000 people had already placed their orders for the Model X. Based on this, the company analysts predicted that the car would be a success and more because it carries along a status symbol.

Although the Model was launched two years later than earlier prospected, Tesla's chief executive, Elon Musk, said that the engineering of some parts had been greater than expected.

Tesla's website says that Model Tesla X will be the fastest, safest and most achieved sports utility vehicle in history. The company additionally says that this is because of the Model X's flexibility in features.

For example, Model X is said to go from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 3.8 seconds. And not only that, the vehicle can carry seven adult passengers with the same speed capability. This is enabled by a 90-kilowatt-hour battery which empowers Model X to drive for 250 miles before requiring a recharge, Car and Driver reported.

It also comes customary with automatic emergency braking and aspect collision shunning technology to stop accidents. Its audio system boasts seventeen speakers and its falcon-wing doors assist passengers to access the back seats with ease.

Altogether, all the features of Tesla Model X give it superiority in the market. The fact that the car possesses much capability than other electric cars made before has given Tesla a worldwide acknowledgement. Model X is expected to hit the markets on large scale, next year.
