Developed and published by Helsinki, Finland-based company Supercell, "Clash of Clans" is a 2012 freemium mobile MMO strategy video game.

Game developer Supercell recently announced that they are in the process of updating the "Clash of Clans" forums.

The popular Tower Defense strategy game, "Clash of Clans" will get an enhanced mobile forum experience post this update, according to Day Herald. During the update, the forums will not be accessible. The update is going to be a massive one, and its maintenance period is yet to be revealed.

Supercell community manager Marika Appel told Pocketgamer"Our fanbase is certainly genuine, and very, very dedicated. The reception of 'Clash of Clans' has continued to surprise us since its launch three years ago and we think it absolutely shows that the lines between 'casual' and 'core' are not as clear as people once thought they were."

The developer further revealed that they are also making minor changes in the game play. They also started a thread recently, called the "Ideas and Requests" section. This section is open for all the fans who are interested in giving out suggestions for a better gaming experience.

Supercell last held a maintenance break on Sept. 22, which was conducted to incorporate minor bug fixes which assured a smooth game play. In the upcoming enhancements, some server enhancements will also be added.

Supercell is also scheduled to host a community players' tournament on Oct. 24. This will also include panel discussions, challenges, and special gifts. This event will feature gamers from 30 different countries. The event will take place in Helsinki.

In addition, the players are also up for winning a trip to the Clash Con, which is taking place around the same time. They will be provided with accommodation and flight tickets as well.

The contest requires the gamers to be 18 years or above of age, and old enough to travel to the Clash Con. A travel passport is also required to take part in this competition. The Clash Con will take place in Finland and the gamers need to register for the same until Oct. 4.
