China's first all-glass bridge is suspended 180 meters over a canyon in Pingjiang Country, central China's Hunan Province. It received around 20,000 visitors on Friday, the second day of China's current week-long National Day holiday.
The local government has set the maximum number of daily visitors to Shiniuzhai Scenic Area at 10,000 until Thursday.
The Area's managers stressed that the decision was made because of the overall capacity of the park, not because of safety concerns about the bridge.
The bridge is made of two layers of hardened glass, 24 millimeters in total thickness.
The 300-meter-long and two-meter-wide walkway was opened to the public on Sept. 24 after a construction of two years.
