"Chasing Life" fans were not very happy to learn that the ABC Family was cancelled just after two seasons.
Last week, the series ended on an emotional note after April (Italia Ricci) head to Italy with Beth and Dominic for their vacation.
While there, April told her friends that she no longer wants to try any other treatment for her cancer because she already wants to start living out the rest of her days.
Unfortunately, fans will no longer learn what will happen to April now that she will no longer undergo treatment.
According to TV Line, the network did not reveal whether or not the cancellation had something to do with the show's low ratings.
Meanwhile, fans were not happy with the news that broke out just a few days after season two's finale episode.
One fan wrote on the publication's article that the cancellation of "Chasing Life" season 2 was somewhat expected because the series became boring at one point.
However, another fan contradicted her thoughts, and said that the Big C storyline was not grim at all. Rather, it made the entire season a little bit too emotional and depressing.
Another fan expressed her thoughts on the recent cancellation and said that it's quite unexpected because the series had very nice and compelling storylines.
"Within all the gloom, doom, and death there was a lightness about the core of the show. They did not dwell on the big C. Instead, they embraced it and made an awesome true-to-life story that thousands can relate to," the fan wrote.
