Microsoft has unveiled its first ever laptop, the Microsoft Surface Book, which it claims is the thinnest most powerful PC ever made. The tech giant has also announced Microsoft Surface Pro 4, Microsoft Lumia 550, Lumia 950 XL and Lumia 950.
Panos Panay, Microsoft Surface team leader, said that they created the ultimate laptop. They made the Surface Book.
According to the company, the Microsoft Surface Book is two times as fast as the MacBook Pro. The laptop has a 13.5-inch PixelSense display and the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 screen protector.
The Surface Book uses a high-speed GDDR5 memory, Nvidia GeForce GPU and 6th-generation Intel Core. Plus, it has a removable keyboard. According to The Verge, the Microsoft Surface Book will run for 12 hours on one single charge.
On the other hand, Microsoft Surface Pro 4 comes with 12.3-inch screen and a new stylus that has an eraser. The screen is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
Microsoft said that the Surface Pro 4 is 30% faster than the Surface Pro 3 and 50% faster than MacBook Air. The tablet comes with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, according to Engadget. In addition, the Surface Pro 4 comes with a fingerprint scanner, an Ethernet port and four USB 3.0 ports.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 begins at $899, and the pre-order begins Wednesday, and the tablet will start shipping from October 26. The Microsoft Surface Book, on the other hand, begins at $1,499, and the pre-order begins Wednesday, and the laptop will begin shipping on October 26.
