According to Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on March 24th, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hong Lei held a press conference about Malaysia's Prime Minister Najib Razak's announcement that the missing Malaysia Airlines MH370 plane has crashed in the southern Indian Ocean.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hong Lei said: "China has already been informed by Malaysia of this announcement, and we are paying great attention. China has already demanded that Malaysia further provides all information and evidence about how it reached this conclusion." He added: "China's search work is still continuing. We hope that the Malaysian side and other countries will also be able to continue their search work."

Previously, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak held urgent press conference to announce their conclusion on the missing plane. Najib Razak said: "I must inform you that flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean."

"Based on their new analysis, Inmarsat and the UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch have concluded that MH370 flew along the southern corridor, and that its last position was in the middle of the Indian Ocean, west of Perth. This is a remote location, far from any possible landing sites. Therefore, with deep sadness and regret, I must inform you that flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean, according to the new data." He said.

According to the latest statement of Malaysia Airlines, all lives are lost. Now, relatives of the passengers of MH370 were booked on charter flights to take them to Australia for further information.
