‘Dragon Ball Super’ Manga to Launch Champa Saga Story Arc

'Dragon Ball Super' is set to begin the Champ Saga story as it moves forward in its TV series. Champa was already teased back in June during the promotion of DB Super.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, the newest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump revealed that the Champ story arc is currently in development.

There is little known about Champa except that he is a plumper version Beerus. Some speculate that he is from another universe and there's a possibility that he will be accompanied by a female Whis.

Many are looking forward to Champa saga as it will reportedly include new content.

Kanzenshuu reports that the Champa material will be introduced in advanced before it becomes part of the TV series. Toyotaro could also put the manga adaptation of "Freeza" on hold to give way to Champa.

The manga version just finished the "Battle of Gods" story arc and has moved to the "Revival of 'F'" plotline which will begin over the next few weeks.

In the TV version, the "Battle of Gods" is a little bit behind but will most likely end this week.

Toyotaro's manga adaptation of "Dragon Ball Super" has variations from the TV series. It has material that's not shown in the series and additional scenes were included that had different outcomes.

Despite the creative liberties taken by Toyotaro, the manga still followed the original flow of the story.

Now Champa hasn't appeared yet in the TV series but he was already featured in chapter two of the manga version. He has since made appearances involving different story lines.
