"Teen Wolf" may just be on its fifth season but MTV has already renewed the show for season 6. Tyler Posey, who plays Scott McCall, in the series, however, may just be replaced in the coming episodes.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, creator Jeff Davis revealed that he was considering having someone else take over the show. Davis admitted that he was surprised that the series has been renewed. He added that they were planning to shake things up and have Dylan Sprayberry "take over the role of the Teen Wolf and see Tyler Posey move into more of a Derek Hale role."

The premiere episode of season 5B, however, will not answer all of the questions in the midseason finale. Davis shared that they initially thought that season 5 would be their last season, adding that they were planning "something big" for the fans.

When asked if the coming season will focus on the cast's lives after high school, Davis revealed that they will actually not be graduating after season 5. He also failed to reveal if there will be time jump in the coming season, adding that they did not want to talk about it just yet.

Fans of Posey were definitely disappointed when they found out that there was a possibility that his character will be portrayed by a different actor. Some even claimed that they will stop watching the show if Posey will be replaced.

The actor recently took to Twitter to clarify the issue. He tweeted that he will "never leave" the show, saying that "Teen Wolf" is his baby.
