Fans of "Chasing Life" season 2 are not happy with the fact that the series was cancelled by ABC Family.

In an interview with TV Line, lead star Italia Ricci talked about the show's ending, and said that April Carver could have survived cancer if the series pushed through for at least another season.

The actress also revealed that "Chasing Life" was inspired by the Mexican television series "Terminales," wherein April may have died, but not because of cancer.

Meanwhile, fans of the show are hopeful that the series will be picked up by other networks or streaming sites.

In the past, FOX cancelled "The Mindy Project" just after a few seasons, but it was picked up by Hulu.

On the other hand, there have also been instances wherein a cancelled show doesn't get picked up or absorbed by a different network or streaming site.

In the cast of "Hart of Dixie," the series was cancelled after four seasons, and fans waited for news on whether or not there's still hope for a revival.

However, it was later on revealed by The CW, as well as lead star Rachel Bilson, that no such thing will happen.

In other news, "Chasing Life" season 2 ended with a bit of controversy after April decided to no longer try other treatments for her cancer.

Some fans believe that April's decision reflected negatively on some real-life cancer patients who just want to put an end to their lives.

However, the actress clarified that April actually did the exact opposite. Since she values her life so much, she no longer wants to be enslaved by the Big C.
