Undermanned squad Uruguay (1-0-0, 3 points) is set to face a James Rodriguez-less Colombia XI (1-0-0, 3 points) in the second matchday of the CONMEBOL 2018 World Cup qualifying tournament. The match will be held at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo, Uruguay on Tuesday.

Los Charrúas turned back the challenge of a gritty Bolivia squad, 2-0, in a matchday 1 win on October 8 at the Estadio Hernando Siles in La Paz, as per SkySports.

Juventus defender Martín Cáceres and Atletico Madrid center back Diego Godín provided the goals for Óscar Tabárez's side at the 10th and 68th minutes of the match en route to the win.

The Uruguayans are playing without their lethal scorers Luis Suárez of Barcelona and Edinson Cavani of Paris Saint-Germain, who are both still serving international suspensions from separate past incidents.

Meanwhile, Colombia also blanked their opening day opponents, Peru, 2-0, at their official stadium of Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez in Barranquilla also last Thursday.

Sporting CP striker Teófilo Gutiérrez and midfielder Edwin Cardona scored the winners for José Pékerman's team at the 36th and 95th minutes to snatch their first victory of the competitions, as reported by Four Four Two.

Even without the two team's resident superstars in their current lineups, the October 13 game is expected to be a highly-entertaining one as both nations will try to get their second win in a row in the tourney.

The predicted result is a 2-0 victory for Colombia.

Uruguay starting lineup (4-4-2 formation): Muslera; Giménez, Godín, Corujo, Cáceres; Pereira, Sánchez, Rodríguez, González; Hernández, Stuani

Colombia starting lineup (4-4-2 formation): Ospina; Zapata, Arias, Fabra, Murillo; Sánchez, Cardona, Cuadrado, Guarín; Bacca, Gutiérrez
