Throwing in a huge name like Miguel Cotto for a rematch could easily guarantee a million pay-per-view buys. Amir Khan is also being considered a big name to be thrown in the mix.

Mayweather and Cotto fought a back and forth bout that could have gone either way on a technical standpoint. Khan on the other hand would be an interesting fight as he used to be Pacquiao's training and sparring partner at Freddie Roach's Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles.

The six-fight deal with Mayweather signed with Showtime is set to end next year and they have to maximize it with a huge fight. Showtime Executive Vice President Stephen Espinoza still sees light in terms of negotiations with the Pacquiao camp.

In an interview by Lance Pugmire of LAtimes.com, Espinoza said that "There's a lot of pride here. I think a lot of people are going to need to swallow a little pride to get this thing done.". Furthermore, he said "If the Manny Pacquiao fight makes sense, let's make it happen. He has some business to take care of. Once he gets past that guy [Chris Algieri on Nov. 22], we'll see what the future holds."

Floyd Mayweather Jr. used  his signature defense to perfection as he survived another hard fought decision against Argentine Slugger Marcos Maidana yesterday. The win improved his win-loss record to an impressive 47-0.

The flamboyant boxer known as "Money" has been seeking a big name to throw as talks for a Super Fight with Manny Pacquiao keep coming to a halt. Pay-per-view numbers have not been good for the undefeated boxer as of late.

He was only able to hit the million mark once in terms of pay-per-view buys in his last four fights. The fight against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez back in September of 2013 generated 2.2 million buys.
