The California police on Monday said they arrested  a 16-year old boy on suspicion of trying to move evidence after the deadly Northern California bank heist.

At a news conference on Monday, Chief Eric Jones of the Stockton Police said the boy, whose identity cannot be disclosed because of his age, was taken into custody on Thursday on suspicion of being an accessory to the bank robbery.

According to Jones, the teen was in the same gang as the three suspects of the Bank of the West robbery in Stockton on July 16.

During the bank heist, the suspects took three civilian hostages and carjacked a vehicle, instead of using their intended getaway car, which the boy allegedly moved two days after the incident.

Misty Holt-Sing, one of the hostages during the robbery, was killed along with two of the suspected robbers after a police chase that ended in a shootout.

After a preliminary ballistics report, it was revealed that the 41-year-old Holt-Singh was shot by a Stockton police officer.

According to the police, Holt-Singh was used as a human shield by the only surviving suspect, Jaime Ramos, 19.

Ramos was charged with murder on three counts and 22 counts of attempted murder.

Jones said the Stockton police are also looking to question 21-year old Pablo Ruvalcaba, a person of interest who reportedly drove the three suspects to the bank.

Meanwhile, during a press conference on Thursday by the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, its officers offered a reward of $5,000 for intel on the person who supplied the suspects with the AK-47 used on during the robbery.

The weapons used during the robbery has hampered the investigations because it appeared to have been made by an unlicensed manufacturer and did not have a serial number.
