"Iron Man" K-Drama Receives Lukewarm Response from Audience

A new drama "Iron Man" starred by Lee Dong Wook (as Joo Hong Bin) and Shin Se Kyung (as Song Hae Kyo) aired last Wednesday, Sept. 10 in KBS2 received tepid response from audience.

Iron Man is a love story about a man who has knives standing straight all over his body because of everything that he's been through and a woman who helps him develop and become a real human.

In this drama, Lee Dong Wook, 33, is the a heartless and fearless man that developed the ability to germinate iron from his body due to his painful heart and faces challenges and Shin Se Kyung, 24, is the an intrusive girl who loves the hero and decided to turn him into a real man.

Viewers of the said drama stated that the Lead Actress, Shin Se Kyung, does not deserve her role and that her acting is dreadful. They also blamed the low rating of the drama on her and asked to change her.

On the other hand, fans of Lee Dong Wook also questioned his involvement in the drama for they think that he's too skillful for his role here.

As in the trailer, Joo Hong Bin, portrayed by Lee Dong Wook, is an intelligent, wealth and prickly man. The maids in his house would see him beating his personal assistant but they can't do anything to stop him.

And Song Hae Kyo, portrayed by Shin Se Kyung an average girl who lives up the simple things in life.

Other people who starred in this drama include Kim Gap Soo (as Joo Jang Won), Han Eun Jung (as Kim Tae Hee), Jun Yoo Geun (as Joo Chang) and Shin Seung Hwan (as Seung Hwan).

It was also said that "The Great Seer" actor, Ji Sung, was offered as lead in this drama but declined it. The reason why he declined it is kept private.

Iron Man airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:00 in the evening.
