The Chinese government has finally given its regulatory approval for Apple to sell its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units.

According to a statement released by the Chinese government, Apple was given a key license after the company was able to address several personal data security issues raised by  state-owned media outlets in China.

On Oct. 17, the new Apple smartphones will be available in China, almost a month after its release in selected stores worldwide, according to the company.

The smartphone units can be pre-ordered starting Oct. 10.

The iPhone Launch in China will mark the first time that  three of China's top network carriers will be able to offer the newest iPhone flagships.

In December, China's largest state-run wireless carrier, China Mobile, was the final carrier to sign an agreement with Apple.

Meanwhile, with the launch of Apple's newest smartphones in China, the company's supply chain is gearing up for a potential increase in demand from the biggest smartphone market in the world.

According to Apple's suppliers, despite nearly a month of delay in the launch in China, the company is positive that it will not impact the sales or production of the units.

Analysts, the units are expected to be a hit with the majority of the country's mobile subscribers, who have been wanting to buy iPhone's with larger screens.

In a statement released by Pegatron Corp, an iPhone assembler based in Taiwan, the company is operating at about 90 percent capacity, but despite not producing  at a maximum capacity, there haven't been any delays when it comes to supplies.

According to an employee at another major supplier, there has not been any sudden surge of demand in iPhone supplies despite the China launch.

Meanwhile, a Japanese supplier said  the sales of the units in China may not be as positive as expected, adding that the previous iPhones', the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, may be more popular than the new ones.

The iPhone 6, which is the cheaper model with a storage a storage capacity of 16GB has a suggested retail price of 5,288 yuan in China or US$860.16, while the more expensive unit, the iPhone 6 Plus, with 128GB of storage, has a price tag of 7,799 yuan or $1,266.82 and with a 128GB storage capacity.
