'Pacific Rim 2' Update: Director Announces Movie Production Starts Soon; Brings In 'Game Of Thrones' Maisie Williams And Accent To Sequel

"Pacific Rim 2" will soon happen according to Director Guillermo Del Toro of Crimson Peak. He also announced his interest in making Maisie Williams a part of the upcoming movie sequel.

The "Pacific Rim 2" director Del Toro posted on his official Twitter account on Sunday. This update is an answer to all the questions and demands of the fans about the controversial movie project. He wrote, "To answer all tweets re: PAC RIM 2: Budget ready. Awaiting script from John Spaihts. Then is up to the studios to give it a green light."

Del Toro, the Mexican film director also told Den of Geek  in an interview that if the movie does materialize, fans can expect to see Maisie Williams, who is portraying Arya in HBO's "Game of Thrones" as one of the cast members of the "Pacific Rim" sequel.

"Pacific Rim 2" plot details were partly divulged also. The director explained that it will be more exciting with loads of odd complexities. He added that the movie will still probably cast Dr. Herman Gottlieb (Burn Gorman), Dr. Newton Geiszler (Charlie Day), Raleigh Becket (Charlie Hunnam), and Herc Hansen (Max Martini).

Previous "Pacific Rim 2" sequel rumors have indicated that the movie will likely be canceled, but Del Toro positively confirmed that it is bound to begin production any time soon.

"Pacific Rim" production has already planned a perfect character to be played by Maisie Williams in the movie sequel. In her new role, Del Toro announced the idea of preserving everything about the renowned actress, including her accent, Comic Book reported.
