After Minnesota resident Kyle Puelston lost his GoPro camera and strap in the Temperance River when it slipped off his head, he thought he had lost the action camera forever. However, after spending almost exactly one year underwater following Puelston's cliff dive, it showed up when two snorkelers discovered it.

When the two brothers pulled the camera out of the river it was dry. That was due to its waterproof case, according to St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Chris Flores explained that he had found a skateboard during their dive. Meanwhile, his brother had located the action camera, along with a pair of sunglasses and a ring.

At first Flores was excited about the spoils because he did not own a GoPro himself. However, that changed after he watched heartwarming videos of Puelston and his kids, which were stored on the action camera's media card.

Flores also discovered footage that Puelston had shot during his SWAT training. He serves as a sergeant in the Chicago County Sheriff's Department.

Flores had still-framed a patch on the deputy's uniform, which helped him to track down Puelston. After using Google Search to find him, the police officer was pleased to get the news about his camera, according to GoPro UK.

Puelston explained that Flores' actions show that he is a man of honor. After telling the story to some other people, they reacted that they would have kept the camera.

When Flores had watched Puelston's family videos he was reminded of his own daughter. Last year when she was 4 months old a tumor caused her to have a heart attack.
