IGN Interviews ‘Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F’ Voice Actors in NYCC

IGN was at New York Comic-Con where the Dragon Ball Z panel was held featuring the voice actors of "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F" and they were able to interview the men who play Goku and Vegeta.

Released in select theaters last August, "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F" was a hit with American audiences, receiving a fresh critics rating of 75%, and an audience score of 87% from Rotten Tomatoes.

Room 1A10 was jam packed with DBZ fans who filled the place to capacity in a matter of minutes as per Bleeding Cool's Octavio Karbank who barely made it inside.

From the young to the old, the Dragon Ball Z panel brought fans of all ages together to watch clips and listen to interviews.

Fan-favorite Dragon Ball villain Frieza was featured in a retrospective sizzle reel. To this day, Frieza remains the single-most popular antagonist to Goku and his friends.

Dragon Ball Z voice actors Sean Schemmel, Chris Sabat, and Justin Cook came on stage for the interview to the delight of the fans.

They spoke about what they thought about Frieza as a necessity for a series built around a character that's essentially good in Goku.

The second half of the panel focused on the actors recalling their earliest memories of being part of the Dragon Ball Z franchise. Their stories in the panel mirror the interview they had backstage with IGN afterwards.

IGN was able to get an exclusive interview with Sean Schemmel (Goku) and Chris Sabat (Vegeta) who talked about their first time playing their characters.

They also shared their thrilling ride with DBZ, getting to this point more than a decade later (15 years to be exact) after their debut as Goku and Vegeta. The two actors were also asked about what makes Dragon Ball Z such an enduring series.

Check out IGN's full interview with real life Dragon Ball Z characters Schemmel and Sabat below.

"Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F" will be released in DVD/Blu-Ray on October 20.
