‘Naruto Shippuden’ News: Naruto’s Orange Jumpsuit Is A Paradox; He Is ‘Another type of real ninja’ Reveals Creator

Just recently, game publisher Bandai Namco is promoting the new game with limited edition statues of Sasuke and Naruto, a move to attract more avid fans about the upcoming launch.

Naruto is a different kind of ninja. With his bright orange jumpsuit, he kind of challenges the ways of being the stealthy ninja. "Naruto Shippuden" creator Masashi Kishimoto talked about Naruto's suit and more during an interview.

Masashi Kishimoto was the special guest in New York City at the Apple Store and along with him Jo Otsuki, who is the editor for "Naruto" - Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and Mari Morimoto, the translator for the event were present.

Anime News Network asked Masashi Kishimoto that why his ninja world is different from "Naruto - Blade of the Immortal" which is quite traditional.

"So of course, a realistic ninja is someone who wears all black with only the eyes visible, kind of lurks in the shadows, and they are assassins. That's cool in its own way, but it's not necessarily appropriate or really makes up for a shonen manga series," Kishimoto said.

He added that he came up with a "polar opposite approach" to fit his character for shonen manga series as well as Jump shonen manga series.

"It's an orange jumpsuit, and Naruto goes 'Hey, I'm here!' Which is totally opposite of how a ninja should behave! It's a paradox. But I figured, 'Why not make this another type of real ninja?' Of course, I had some hardcore ninja fans who were like, 'Dude, get lost.' (laughs) They were really upset because this is not how ninjas are supposed to be!"

Indeed, Naruto belongs to a different league of ninjas with his bright orange jumpsuit costume.
