No Man's Sky

The highly anticipated release of "No Man's Sky" is alleged to be right around the corner if a report's claims hold true.

From website Techno Buffalo has presented some clues that support their claim: the release date of "No Man's Sky" will be on October 27, 2015.

"It's been tough to pull even a vague release window out of 'No Man's Sky' developer Hello Games, or its biggest backer, Sony," the site claimed. "Signs are starting to suggest that it might be ramping up for a surprise release as early as October 27. Of this year."

That's roughly a week from this writing-and it's a bold claim. What are their clues?

They cite an Inverse report where an Amazon UK customer pre-ordered the title and was sent an announcement that expected delivery is on 27 Octobrer 2015.

TB also cited Hello Games' Sean Murray's guesting on Stephen Colbert's late night show the past week. "Appearances on high profile shows are usually accompanied by having a product to promote rather than something without even a vague release window."

However, the full Inverse report claimed that upon further investigation, the signs pointed to the contrary. The writer said he tried to order the title at Amazon US and it was not even listed.

He also conducted a Google search and there was a page for "No Man's Sky" but "it looks as empty as it could possibly be."

While the two reports seem to be "half empty vs half full" interpretations of the evidence, Inverse has a more rational assumption.

"I also want to believe that Sony will tell us a definite release date at the upcoming Paris Games Week on October 28th through November 1."

Let's stay tuned for that.
