The latest news from Batman V Superman alleges that Doomsday is not the final villain in the film.

DC Comics News got wind of an Instagram account of one Sean Ray who claimed to be a 3D artist working for Moving Picture Company which worked on the visual effects of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."

In the post he announced:

"Batman v Superman is wrapped, one the best films i have worked on! My inner child is happy! I'm the biggest superman fan ever! So it was a dream to work on it! Looking forward to seeing it on the big screen in March! I can't wait !! Good job everyone who worked on it"

In response to someone asking about Doomsday:

"Hahaha lol unfortunately he's not in the film, maybe in the man of steel sequel or justice league film who knows"

The Instagram account has since been deleted, which may be interpreted either way-deleted due to his employer's pressure or deleted because it was phony.

Doomsday being the final villain is a long-standing rumor that most fans and critics have accepted was also reinforced by Michael Shannon's comments. Shannon played General Zod in "Man Of Steel" and it was alleged that his Kryptonian DNA led to Lex Luthor creating Doomsday.

He told Vulture about his predicament on the set which gave away some clues.

"I was in my costume, and I couldn't use my fingers because in the sequel I have flippers instead of hands," Shannon narrated. "So I had these wax flippers on my fingers, and I couldn't open the door, and I could hear Zack [Snyder, the director] being like, 'Where's Shannon? Where the f*** is he?' and the whole crew was standing around. I was like, knocking on the door with my flippers, 'Let me out of here!"

The claim from Sean Ray should be taken with a grain of salt but Shannon's statements are not exactly confirmation either. There are rumors that it's Bizarro who will be in the final battle as Doomsday could (and should) be reserved for Superman's solo story arc.

Doomsday or not, there's yet another reason why March 25, 2016 could not come soon enough.
