China is in the motions of constructing 30 robot factories, as it continues to embrace global manufacturing with the use of the internet and robots.

According to State Engineering Research Center for Robotics assistant director Qu Daokui, China is approaching the golden age for manufacturing robots domestically.

Qu said that the country's robot industry only existed after 2008 when labor shortage and demographic separation. But the country became the world's largest producer of robotics products in only five years.

Data from the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) showed that, in 2013, China was the biggest robot market, contributing 20 percent to the total world supply.

Further, China contributed significantly to the overall sales. IFR noted that 36,560 industrial robots were sold in China in 2013.

China's automotive industry was identified as the biggest consumer, with 281 robots per 10,000 employees. With all sectors factored in, the density goes down to only 23 units for the same number of workers.

"Only a quarter of the robots in the Chinese market are domestically made and the three core parts and components of domestic robots have long relied on imports," said Qu.

Qu added that robotics will alter China's work force. As companies use more robots, staff training will be necessary as much as improving robot technology and management.

To date, there are about 420 robot businesses in China.
