"Fifty Shades Darker" star Dakota Johnson recently talked about her questionable music and fashion choices.
In an interview with Elle Magazine, the actress who plays the role of Anastasia Steele, jokingly thanked her mom Melanie Griffith and grandmother Tippi Hedren for putting up with her choices.
"I want to thank you both for encouraging me and supporting me in all of my endeavors, excluding the time you let me cornrow my hair on vacation and my scalp got sunburned and also when I thought it would be cool to pierce my belly button and I wore dangling jewelry from it," she said.
Johnson then went on to reveal that kind of music and artists she used to listen to when she was much younger.
"Also excluding when I went through that phase of listening to Phish, the ska band spelled with 'P-h' and when I changed my name to my cellular telephone voicemail to Bliss. Basically, I want to un-thank you all for the times I embarrassed myself and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything else," she added.
In other news, Johnson also dished on her role as Anastasia in "Fifty Shades of Grey," and said that it was vital for her character to be funny.
Luckily, director Sam Taylor-Johnson didn't have a hard time deciding on whether or not she was meant to play the part because she felt that it was created just for her, according to E! News.
"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Feb. 10, 2017.
