The Clash of Clans (COC) Halloween Update is now available for the Clashers to download. Supercell made the big announcement through official Twitter account @ClashofClans. Read on for more details.
On Oct. 22, 2015, a series of Twitter posts surfaced on the Clash of Clans Twitter account, hinting at the Halloween update. It happens to be an optional update available for limited time period.
"A spooky update is about to descent upon your village, Chief! Get ready, maintenance will start soon..." Clash of Clans (COC) account holder posted.
Few hours later, the much-awaited announcement on the social media website declaring that the Halloween theme is available for both iOS and Android players was made. "The Halloween theme is now on! Head over to your AppStore/GooglePlay and be sure to download the optional update!," the announcement reads.
So what's new in the gameplay? According to the description on Google play store, the Halloween update offers special "Spooky Halloween Clash theme" along with some cauldron obstacles and poison spells.
As a special treat, the game will enable the players to boost their spell factories with just one gem. The offer will last until Nov. 4, 2015.
Online publication Game Zone describe the upgrade as "nothing major." The larger update for Clash of Clans is expected to be announced during the ClashCon event starting Oct. 24, 2015. Clashers and several media outlets are speculating that the event will unveil Town Hall 11 and level 8 Barbarian. Whether or not these updates will be made available to Clashers remains to be seen.
