Gennady "GGG" Golovkin recently reinforced his status as "The Most Feared Fighter" when he knocked out David Lemieux in their unification bout.

After the October 17 fight, GGG is now the current, unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBC (interim) and IBO middleweight champion and despite his reputation, there are boxers who are after his belts.

One of them is Tureano Johnson who beat Eamonn O'Kane to gain the mandatory status and he did not hesitate to declare it on Boxing News 24.

"I stand before you as the new #1 mandatory for Triple G's IBF title," Tureano Johnson said at the post fight press conference. "When that opportunity comes, you won't be disappointed. I will definitely bring it and give all I can. I ain't just going to fight Triple G for fighting's sake. I'm going to beat Triple G. I hope you all enjoy it. We're going to make that happen. I definitely see a lot of things I can capitalize on when I watched David Lemieux and Triple G tonight. You guys saw what I did tonight. Yes, I have a better Mexican style than Triple G. I've got a cast iron chin, and it has been tested. Has Triple G been tested?"

One big hitch to the Triple G test is that the boxing world have their eyes on GGG matching up with the winner of the Miguel Cotto - Canelo Alvarez match on November 21.

Johnson has already anticipated that and he said "if Golovkin wants to face the winner of the Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez vs. Miguel Cotto for his next fight, then he'll speak to his promoters at Golden Boy Promotions if Golovkin and his promoters at K2 Promotions want him to step aside so that Golovkin can face the winner of the Cotto-Canelo fight next."

However, the "step aside" might not be necessary as Boxing Scene reported that trainer Abel Sanchez wants his Kazakh ward back in the ring by February-whether it's Cotto, Canelo or Johnson. In fact, Sanchez commended Johnson on his win.

"I thought he fought a great fight Of course he's rated really high in the organization. We'd love to fight him. If they could put it together, then this could be our next fight," Sanchez said.
