China, Vietnam Meet at 10th Theory Seminar

To discuss experiences in building a socialist country under rule of law, the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) held the 10th theory seminar at Da Lat City in Vietnam's Central Highlands Lam Dong Province on Tuesday. 

Officials who attended the seminar included Liu Qibao, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, and Dinh The Huynh, member of the Political Bureau of the CPV Central Committee, Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee and chairman of the Central Theory Council.

China attaches great importance to the rule of law, said Liu, who also heads the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee. He added that the recently concluded fourth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central committee had decided to fully advance the rule of law when it comes to major issues.

Liu noted that China will stick to the rules of sustaining CPC's leadership, respecting the people as masters of the country and carrying out state governance under rule of law.

These will be followed along with the path of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics for creating a socialist legal system with Chinese characteristics and socialist country ruled by law.

Liu said that China is willing to strengthen exchange of governance experiences with Vietnam to enhance comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

Dinh The Huynh, also the head of the CPV Central Committee's Commission for Education and Popularization, introduced his country's practices in building up the rule of law.

He added that Vietnam is prepared to work with China in promoting mutual learning of both countries for common development.
