Prior to the final show of Miss Grand International 2015 on Oct. 25, Sunday, at the Indoor Stadium Huamark in Bangkok, Thailand, the top 10 Miss Popular Vote winners were announced.
Among the 78 contestants of Miss Grand International 2015 from all over the world, the 10 contestants with the highest scores of Miss Popular Vote are Miss Sri Lanka Ornella Mariam Gunesekere, Miss Albania Enkelejda Lajci, Miss India Vartika Singh, Miss Malaysia Santhawan Boonratana, Miss Australia Claire Elizabeth Parker, Miss Indonesia Yolanda Remetwa, Miss US Virgin Islands Petra Cabrera Badia, Miss England Elizabeth Greenham, Miss Nepal Jenita Basnet and Miss Myanmar San Htate Htar Linn.
The top 10 Miss Grand International 2015 contestants with the highest scores of Miss Popular Vote will join Miss Grand International president Nawat Itsaragrisil at The Private Party, which will be held at the Zoom Sky Bar and Restaurant in Anantara Sathron Bangkok Hotel, according to the pageant's official website.
Miss Popular Vote is one of the five special awards of the international beauty pageant. The other special awards are Best in Swimsuit, Best Social Media, Best in Evening Gown and Best National Costume. Four runners-up will also be awarded aside from the Miss Grand International 2015 title.
The early top contenders of Miss Grand International 2015 who did not make it to the top 10 Miss Popular Vote winners are Miss United States of America Lauren Peterson, Miss Netherlands Shauny Bult, Miss Venezuela Reina Rojas, Miss Thailand Rattikorn Kunsom and Miss Philippines Parul Shah.
Weeks before the Miss Grand International 2015 coronation night, the Indoor Stadium Huamark was used as the venue to the tennis match between Spain's Rafael Nadal and Serbia's Novak Djokovic, which was aimed to promote Thailand, Bangkok Post reported.
