Derek Hough is seen here along with his star-dance partner of "Dancing With The Stars" season 21, Bindi Irwin.

The five-time "Dancing With The Stars" champion, Derek Hough, expressed his anxiety towards the team dance before his performance with the crocodile hunter's daughter, Bindi Irwin.

According to Hough, "I actually haven't lost a team dance in like 13 team dances" and adds "But I don't know. The other team looked really good today. So I'm a little like, 'Uh oh! Hope we can tie.' But I have faith in us." as reported by Entertainment Weekly.

The dancer's nervousness may have not been necessary though, as he and Irwin performed with flying colors during the Halloween episode, finishing in the lead with 30 points.

During the dance show, the nature preserver soared high with the five-time champion as a vampire queen for the episode's theme.

The "Dancing With The Stars" couple was praised for their performance, especially for Irwin. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba remarked, "All hail the queen of darkness!" while judge Julianne Hough commented on the deepness of the performance as reported by US Weekly.

The third judge Bruno Tonioli also praised the couple by adding that the dance was an "Argentine tango master class."

With Hough and Irwin's leading streak especially with their previous week rendition of the "Dirty Dancing" lift, it appears that this duo is in for the win this season.

Not only did Hough and Irwin steal the spotlight but other "Dancing With The Stars" contestant and "Big Time Rush" alum Carlos PenaVega, also shined that night. The actor is currently the first contestant of the show's history that admitted that he felt and thought his performance was overscored the previous week. PenaVega adds, "I did make a lot of mistakes... But it makes me want to prove to myself that I deserve those scores."

However, a couple had to bid farewell due to their poor scores from the judges and were sent home. The host of the show, Tom Bergeron, announced that couple Hayes and Emma had to leave the competition.

In addition, Hayes commented that the contestants were excellent people and that the experience of being in the show was life-changing.
