(L-R) Actors Michael Emerson, Amy Acker and Sarah Shahi pose in the press room for the 'Person of Interest' panel during Comic-Con Day 4 at The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on October 11, 2015 in New York City.

While CBS has remained mum on whether "Person of Interest" season 5 will be the last, Sarah Shahi (Sameen Shaw) has spilled some details about her character Sameen. Meanwhile, Michael Emerson (Harold Finch) has dished on the technical issues surrounding the machine even as avid fans made a petition to urge major networks and streaming providers to take up the show for another season.

It is clear that fans would want to see more of Jim Caviezel (John Reese) and Finch as they have petitioned to ask CBS and major networks as well as other streaming service providers to bring back the show even for only one more season.

According to IGN, Shahi revealed some details about her struggling character in season 5. She said, "Shaw comes back in a very dynamic way. Much like the introduction of my character, I think I get a standalone episode. Shaw has been gone and when she comes back, we don't know 100% if she's trustworthy."

Talking about the Machine, Emerson unveiled that the machine's problem is something that Finch is trying to handle. The actor spilled how hard it is for his character, Finch, to maintain a non-personal relationship with the machine - his creation, according to Entertainment Weekly. He added that Finch dedicated so much time in creating and using the machine.

Fans have no option but to wait for the official confirmation from CBS on whether season 5 will wrap up the storyline or there will be another season.

"Person of Interest" is a sci-fi crime drama created by Jonathan Nolan. The show has built a huge fanbase across the globe.

"Person of Interest" season 5 is scheduled to debut in 2016.
