"Fifty Shades of Grey" director Sam Taylor-Johnson recently revealed that she doesn't have any new projects as of late.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Taylor-Johnson clarified that she's not working at the moment because her husband, who is an actor, is filming his upcoming movie "Nocturnal Animals."

The "FSOG" director added that it has always been their practice to not work at the same time.

"Aaron and I have a rule that we don't work at the same time, and he's shooting Tom Ford's 'Nocturnal Animals.' While he's on night shoots in the desert, I'm home with the kids. He'll finish in a couple of months and we'll see," she said.

Taylor-Johnson left the "Fifty Shades of Grey" franchise just after a few months of its release for the big screen.

At that time, the director revealed that one of the reasons why she left was because she didn't always agree with book author E.L. James, according to US Weekly.

Now, fans are speculating that Taylor-Johnson could be regretting her decision to leave the franchise, considering how huge it really is.

Unfortunately, the director already said that she won't return no matter what, and "House of Cards" director James Foley has already been tasked to direct "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed."

In fact, James, Foley and Niall Leonard have already met up with Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti for the upcoming movie. The team has been conceptualizing on the direction they want "Fifty Shades Darker" to take.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Feb. 10, 2017.
