"The Vampire Diaries" alum Nina Dobrev is rumored to be pissed at her fans who keep asking whether or not she will return to The CW series to reprise her role as Elena Gilbert.

Just recently, Dobrev's former co-star Paul Wesley spoke with TV Insider to dish on whether or not there's a chance that her onscreen partner will return to the show.

"Elena's still a very big part of the story. Her body is in danger in the first few episodes, and Damon is doing everything he can to make sure it stays safe if and when she wakes up. We all had imagined this complete reboot where Elena was gone, but she's talked about so much!" he said.

Wesley's statement gave "The Vampire Diaries" fans a glimmer of hope that Dobrev will return to the series.

Additionally, Michael Trevino's out-of-nowhere return to reprise his role as Tyler Lockwood once again made fans speculate that Dobrev will eventually return when no one is talking about it anymore.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Dobrev will most likely no longer return even just for an episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 because there was already too much tension before season 6 ended.

At that time, Dobrev was rumored to have had awkward encounters with Ian Somerhalder's wife Nikki Reed who accompanied him on set to make sure that he won't be flirting with Dobrev.

"The last few weeks of filming were reportedly awkward and somewhat tense as Nikki Reed watched Ian Somerhalder's scene with Nina like a hawk," the publication noted.
