In honor of the late Bob Ross and his 73rd birthday, all 403 episodes of this hit TV series "The Joy of Painting" will be streamed on the popular video game streaming website Twitch.tv until Nov. 6, 2016.

This is an interesting move by Twitch.tv since the content on the website is mainly populated with gaming related videos by PC gamers and the many owners of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Despite the audience being mainly gamer-centric, "The Joy of Painting" has been welcomed by the community with open arms as they set up to take part in the celebration of a great man who lived a life of colors.

The 403 episodes combined makes for around 12,000 minutes and 200 hours. Watching the whole thing will require viewers to binge for 8 days though we doubt anyone would be up for the task.

The real reason Twitch.tv is live streaming Bob Ross' videos:

The website launched a new channel called Twitch Creative, a home for musicians, painters, and others to live-stream their creative arts to the world. Having an 8-day stream of "The Joy of Painting" could be an excellent way to attract the right crowd to get the new channel up and running in a big way.

"Today, we're happy to announce our official support for the Twitch Creative community. There are a few things that make the Creative category unlike anything else on Twitch, so we, along with our launch partner Adobe, are excited to see what you dream up," according to Twitch.tv.

Fort those who might have missed the whole stream, there's a Boss Ross official channel on YouTube where over 300 videos are available for your viewing pleasure.

For those who might be unaware, Bob Ross began his painting show, "The Joys of Painting" back in 1983. It ran for 11 seasons until it was canceled in 1994, a year before Bob Ross died of cancer in 1995.
