Celta Vigo full back Jonny Castro Otto (L) kicks the ball off Real Madrid's Isco in their recent La Liga matchup.

Contending squad Celta Vigo (6-1-3, 21 points) aims to challenge Real Madrid and Barcelona for the top spot of the 2015-2016 La Liga table as it clashes with Valencia (4-3-3, 15 points) at the Estadio Municipal de Balaídos on Saturday, November 7.

Os Célticos turned back the tough challenge of lowly club Real Sociedad, 3-2, at the Anoeta Stadium last Saturday to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Los Blancos the week before, as reported by The Guardian.

Striker Iago Aspas had a goal in each half, at the 17th and 56th minutes, to equalize the count at 2-2 before midfielder Pablo Hernández scored the winner at the 89th to give manager Eduardo Berizzo's side its sixth win in 10 matches so far.

Os Celestes had been unbeaten in five of its last six matches, which propelled them to third place in the overall standings behind Real and Barça.

Valencia is also coming off a win with a 3-0 blanking of cellar-dweller Levante at the Mestalla Stadium also last Saturday, as per Soccerway.

Nuno Espírito Santo's boys came out firing in all cylinders with forward Paco Alcácer and midfielders Sofiane Feghouli and Zakaria Bakkali providing a goal each in the second half of the match at the 64th, 72nd, and 80th-minute marks respectively en route to the lopsided win.

Despite Els Taronges' big win, they will certainly have their hands full against this season's rejuvenated Celtics.

The prediction is a tough 2-1 win for Celta Vigo.

Celta Vigo starting lineup (4-3-3 formation): Alvarez; Mallo, Gomez, Fontas, Jonny; Wass, Radoja, Hernandez; Orellana, Aspas, Nolito

Valencia starting lineup (4-3-3 formation): Jaume; Cancelo, Santos, Vezo, Gaya; Perez, Fuego, Gomes; Feghouli, Alcacer, Piatti
