Max Holloway versus Conor McGregor at UFC Fight Night 26

UFC featherweight contender Max Holloway has a bone to pick with the division's interim champ Conor McGregor.

More than a couple of years ago, the two fought in a grueling three-round match that saw Holloway injuring his ankle and McGregor tearing his ACL soon after.

The proud Hawaiian lost the bout via unanimous decision and has been longing to face his nemesis one more time.

For him, it's about when he gets his hands on McGregor again, not if.

"Everybody asks me about that fight," Holloway said in a Q&A session with UFC fans. "I'm only 23. I turn 24 at the end of the year. I'm probably going to go up in weight. Me and Conor are probably going to fight a bunch of times."

Ever since that disappointing loss, the refocused and retooled Hawaiian has racked up seven straight victories, which includes six finishes over the likes of Andre Fili, Cub Swanson, and Charles Oliveira.

Call this person crazy, but a Holloway versus McGregor 2 match seems legitimately written in the stars.

"The last time we fought, someone took someone down and it wasn't me," Holloway claimed referring to McGregor's desperate yet successful takedown attempts to eke out a win.

Of course Max Holloway shouldn't look past his scheduled opponent Jeremy Stephens.

"Blessed" and "Lil' Heathen" will be on a UFC 194 card headlined by the featherweight title unification fight of Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo on the 12th of December.

Holloway wrapped it all up by saying, "If Conor gets through Aldo and I beat Stephens, I'll come back to Ireland and we can fight inside that little soccer field that he wants to fight in."
