NFL 2015 Season: Jacksonville Jaguars vs New York Jets, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

| Nov 03, 2015 11:58 PM EST

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles.

The Jacksonville Jaguars (2-5) will be fresh from a victory and a bye week as they head to the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford to face the stumbling New York Jets (4-3), who had just lost two in a row in the 2015 NFL season.

Jacksonville halted their four-game slide with an improbable win over the Buffalo Bills, 34-31, at the Wembley Stadium in London during Week 7, as reported by ESPN.

Quarterback Blake Bortles prevailed in the payoff period with a game-winning touchdown pass to wide receiver Allen Hurns to lead the Jags to only their second win of the season.

After building a 4-1 record in their first five games of the season, the Jets are suddenly on a two-game losing skid after they lost to the Oakland Raiders, 34-20, at the O.co Coliseum last Sunday, as per Fansided.

New York could not stop Raiders quarterback Derek Carr from completing four touchdown passes while their own starting signal caller, Ryan Fitzpatrick, went down with a torn left thumb ligament during the match's opening drive.

Backup Geno Smith took over for Fitzpatrick and did a decent job in his first game back for the Jets. Smith would also go down with an injury late in the game as he was hit hard by Raiders linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong in the closing minutes.

Both quarterbacks will be out for New York in this game against the Jags, which gives the advantage to Gus Bradley's squad.

Prediction: Jaguars win, 21-14.
