People watch Apple's announcement of new versions of old products at a Apple Store in New York, NY on September 9, 2015.

The latest Apple TV upgrade brings a fresh feature that allows users to move applications in and out of the top shelf, which was originally designed to house Apple's own applications. However, users will still not be able to remove Apple apps.

Arranging your apps is simple. When the app's icon is highlighted, all you need to do is press and hold the trackpad found on your Apple TV remote and wait for the icon so start wiggling, then swipe across the trackpad to move the app icon to a desired place. Once you are happy with its new location, tick the trackpad again to complete the move, Touch Arcade reported.

As for deleting an application from your Apple TV, the method starts out the same way. You have to highlight the application icon, then press and hold the trackpad to prompt the app's wiggling. After this, push the Play/Pause button on the TV remote, then confirm deleting the app.

Here are the real time top 10 free apps:

Top 10 Free Apps

1 - Rayman Adventures (Apple TV Only)

2 - Crossy Road - Endless Arcade Hopper (+ Universal)

3 - HBO NOW (+ Universal)

4 - The Nat Geo TV (+ Universal)

5 - FOX NOW (+ Universal)

6 - SHOWTIME (+ Universal)

7 - HISTORY (+ Universal)

8 - CNNgo (Apple TV Only)

9 - CBS (+ Universal)

10 - Asphalt 8: Airborne (+ Universal)

Unfortunately, although Apple has included a slew of featured applications, users have no other way to discover other apps that are currently not featured in the list. In addition, they are also not able to browse Top Charts or categories to discover other Apple TV Applications, Touch Arcade reported.

After doing some research, Jeff Scott of SlideToPlay revealed through Twitter that Apple is on the process of issuing their own list of top Apple TV apps. Scott was able to compile the up-to-date list of the overall top Apple TV applications, which also includes separate category lists for both paid and free apps; slide to share file is available.
