| Nov 05, 2015 02:42 AM EST

Chievo striker Roberto Inglese (R) scores the first goal of the match against Sampdoria.

Reeling team US Citta di Palermo (3-6-2, 11 points) will face off with fellow struggling squad Chievo (3-4-4, 13 points) for a 2015-2016 Serie A season matchup at the Stadio Renzo Barbera this November 8th, Sunday.

Palermo dropped a close 0-1 decision to mercurial team Empoli on Monday also at their home stadium as the Blues' Italian winger Riccardo Saponara found the back of team captain Stefano Sorrentino's net at the 53rd minute to come away with the win, as per ESPN.

It was Rosanero's fourth loss in their last six matches, dropping them to the no. 16 spot in the overall standings and at risk of being relegated if they can't recover in their next games.

Giuseppe Iachini's side had a great start to their season, staying unbeaten in their first three games before losing six of their next eight outings.

Similarly, Chievo started their 2015-2016 campaign undefeated in their first three matches before losing four of their next eight. The Flying Donkeys had been winless in their last six outings so far.

I Gialloblu's last game was a 1-1 draw with Sampdoria at their home field of Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi on Monday to add a point to their tally, via Soccerway.

Striker Roberto Inglese equalized the match with a shot from the center box off a cross from Riccardo Meggiorini at the 34th minute after Sampdoria forward Éder found the goal early at the 8th minute of the game. The two teams traded attacks the rest of the way but managed to settle with the draw.

Rolando Maran and his boys are projected to win this game against Palermo to finally get a victory after more than a month of Italian top flight action.

The prediction is a tough 1-0 win for Chievo.
