Serie A 2015-2016: Roma vs Lazio, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

A Rome derby between third-running club AS Roma (7-2-2, 23 points) is set to clash with reeling contender SS Lazio (6-5-0, 18 points) at the Stadio Olimpico on November 8 for a 2015-2016 Serie A season matchup.

Both clubs are coming off disappointing losses and they will look to outgun each other to bounce back from their recent debacles.

Roma lost for the first time after a six-game winning run, dropping a 0-1 affair against fellow powerhouse squad Inter Milan in their most recent match at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on October 31st, via Daily Mail Online.

I Nerazzurri's Chilean midfielder Gary Medel scored the lone goal of the match at the 31st minute to deny Rudi García's squad a point in the overall standings.

I Giallorossi's Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanić was sent off with a second yellow card at the 73rd minute to put away his team's chances of gaining an equalizer late in the game.

Meanwhile, Lazio is coming off a 1-3 defeat in the hands of AC Milan also at the Stadio Olimpico on November 1st with only I Biancocelesti's Dutch striker Ricardo Kishna providing a goal for Stefano Pioli's side, via SkySports.

Andrea Bertolacci, Philippe Mexès, and Carlos Bacca each scored a goal for Milan at the 25th, 53rd, and 79th minutes on the way to their dominating win.

It was the second consecutive defeat for Lazio and third in four games overall as they drop to the seventh spot in the league table.

Lazio will make it tough for Roma in this match, but García's men will prevail in a very tight contest.

The prediction is Roma over Lazio, 2-1.
