The iPad Mini 3 (stylized and marketed as iPad mini 3 also known as iPad mini 3 with Touch ID) is the third-generation iPad Mini tablet computer designed, developed and marketed by Apple Inc.

iPad 3 Air was not mentioned in Apple' annual conference, but fans are hopeful that it will come next year.

Apple fans were quick to note that the new iPad Air was not announced during Apple's annual conference last September. Despite the lack of updates, iPad air users strongly believe that they might be able to upgrade to iPad Air 3 by next year.

Apple annual conference last Sept. 9, 2015 introduced both the iPad Mini 4 and iPad Pro. To numerous Apple fans, the company's failure to announce a new iPad Air has not gone unnoticed. This leads to speculations that the highly anticipated device may not be coming out this year after all.

iPad 3 Air reports say that Apple has a good reason for delaying iPad Air 3's release that is not until 2016, IT Pro reported. This is due to the notion that the tech company did not want its latest iPad Air to have to contend with its more powerful and relatively larger sibling, iPad Pro, and the smaller iPad Mini 4.

Although this appears to be a pretty legit reason, the news about the delay still broke the hearts of many iPad 3 Air fans. This is only because iPad Air 3 has the perfect combination of the Pro's dynamo and the Mini's portability features, Tech Radar reported. Current iPad Air users who are planning on upgrading may not really want to leap to the first-generation iPad Pro, while others who already own a laptop most probably will not need to purchase the new laptop tablet hybrid.

iPad Air fans who are accustomed to its screen and features may find the Mini device a bit short of what they expect to have.
