More rumors about "Captain America: Civil War" emerge concerning the character who is considered the game changer: The Vision.
According to earlier reports and even in the promo pictures that Marvel Studios released, The Vision will be on Tony Stark's team along with Iron Man, War Machine, Black Widow and Black Panther.
However, in a spoiler report from The Hashtag Show, that might actually change before the movie is over.
The claim is that the comic book romance between the Scarlet Witch and the Vision will crossover to the movie version. They cite that in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," the Vision was carrying the Scarlet Witch and that was not just a coincidence.
Earlier this year, Heroic Hollywood led speculations on the composition of both Team Cap and Team Tony. In that article, they also asked "Can you guess which Avenger might be a double agent?"
While he may not exactly be a "double agent," the Vision is all but confirmed to switch sides according to the video by THS. What Culture noted:
"It won't be Hawkeye or Black Widow who switch allegiances and help 'end the war' between the pro-Accords and anti-Accords factions (it's nowhere near as simple as that binary, but that seems to be the way it's being talked about)."
"(Vision) will switch sides (who knows why - perhaps because someone backing the Accords says there's something fundamentally not right about a robo-Frankenstein-God having sex with a witch mutant, or something) and then decide to leave Earth by the end of the movie."
The speculation on the final point may lead to The Vision having appearances in "Thor: Ragnarok" or "Guardians of the GalaxyVol.2" but that's another story altogether.
With all the changes that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has made to the original comic book materials, it may be a relief to fans that they chose to keep the Vision-Scarlet Witch romance narrative intact.
