Liverpool FC is in the hot seat right now as fans and detractors alike expect a lot from the team with a new manager and a new system. The Reds are also not lacking in transfer rumors because of the attention it caught acquiring Jürgen Klopp in midseason to replace Brendan Rodgers.

Here are some of the latest rumors regarding the Anfield residents.

Klopp wants former Borussia Dortmund standout in January: The 48-year-old German coach reportedly wants to bid for his former Dortmund ward and current Bayern Munich scoring machine Robert Lewandowski when the transfer window re-opens this January.

Reports were out that Lewandowski "could be available in the near future", but with the way the 27-year-old Poland international is playing right now, it looks like Pep Guardiola will hang on him for quite some time. Unless of course if Guardiola will be out of Munich as well. Verdict: Fiction.

Liverpool bosses aware that fans want Marco Reus via social media: Reds CEO Ian Ayre had told fans to keep on tweeting their sentiments and demands with regards to the team's roster as the club is said to be "listening to social media" when evaluating their transfer decisions.

Ayre disclosed that they have specific people hired to monitor "the mood of customers", which are the fans and that the organization is keen on keeping them happy.

However, the 52-year-old executive clarified that not all suggestions will be dealt with as it would be impossible to do. "If we did everything that was said on social media, we wouldn't get any work done," he said. Verdict: Fact.

Klopp in talks with LA Galaxy's Steven Gerrard for possible Anfield return: Reports are out that Klopp is talking with the 35-year-old Liverpool legend of a potential come back to the squad this season, but only as a trainer and not a player.

Gerard moved to the States in January of this year to pursue a career with the MLS after a sterling 17 seasons with the Reds franchise. While returning as a player is not an option for both Klopp and Gerrard, the latter said that he would be honored to be able to train younger players for the benefit of his old team, Liverpool FC. Verdict: Fact.
