Microsoft Surface 4 Pro will be available in India by January next year.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella stated at the tech giant's Future Unleashed symposium on Nov. 5, Thursday, in Mumbai that the Surface 4 Pro will be available in India by January next year.

The 48-year-old executive, however, did not provide a Surface 4 pro specific release date as well as the cost of the tablet upon arriving in India, according to Gadgets 360.

Likewise, the Future Unleashed event proclaimed the advancements the company has made since the Surface Pro 3.

For example, the Surface Pro 4 can outperform the Macbook Air by as much as 50 percent and the Surface Pro 3 by 30 percent. Microsoft's latest tablet can also withstand up to 9 hours of usage because of its efficient hardware.

The most affordable Surface Pro 4 packs an Intel HD Graphics 515, while the succeeding models either have the Intel HD Graphics 520 or the Intel Iris Graphics, according to Tech Times. The processors utilized for the deluxe tablet start with the sixth-generation Intel Core M3, which is followed by the Core i5 and the ultimate Core i7.

While 2014's Surface Pro 3 had a 12-inch display, the fourth-generation Surface Pro highlights a 12.3-inch PixelTouch screen that does not make it thicker than the previous tablet since the bezel width has been relatively minimized. The 0.4mm Corning Gorilla Glass 4 also protects the screen from scratches and easy breakage.

The signature pen of the Surface series comes back with an eraser, Cortana integration, a 1,024-degree sensitivity and the ability to activate Microsoft OneNote upon clicking the pen tip.

In terms of storage, the Microsoft tablet starts with 128GB of the fast and lightweight SSD storage, with the priciest model having 1TB of SSD storage. The base model has a 4GB RAM while the best model comes with 16GB of RAM.

Microsoft's newest tablet includes a fingerprint scanner, a couple of 4K Mini Displayports and an Ethernet port for connecting to wired networks.

The Surface 4 Pro has a starting price of $899 and was officially released on Oct. 26.
